1) MEMBERSHIP TYPE:
- Active Members:Who would pay & participate in activities & get membership benefits like no payment in non-paid activities, & discounts in paid activities.
- Non active members:Our online Orkut, etc, members who do not wish to pay the membership yet wish to be notified about the association activities & pay per activity they are interested in)
- Co-operating members: Members who wish to voluntarily extend their services if & when required to the association or contribute monetarily. Whenever there will be a requirement for some services, it will be announced online to these members, & members who are interested in helping in that particular activity, they can come forward. Their contribution would be greatly appreciated.
For students: Rs. 200 / year or one can also pay Rs.100 half yearly.
Membership extension: To all interested. Even non-spanish speaking people who have interest in Latin American culture in general.
3) ACTIVITIES DONE SO FAR:
- Celebration of Peru festival: Inti Raymi, with a small party at Peru embassy, uniting Spanish students from Delhi University, Jawaharlal Nehru University, Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan, & other institutions offering the language, at one common platform. The event included screening of short documentary films on Peru, to create a better understanding about the country, among the Indian students.
- Introductory Spanish Course, held on weekends, (Started on 30 th of June, 2007)
- Continuation of Spanish introductory courses & introducing more advanced courses.
- A poetic evening, including poems by famous Latin American poets like Pablo Neruda, Octavio Paz, etc.
- Hoping to come up with an association magazine, with contributions like poetry, stories, articles, etc from students.
- A talk on best of Spanish & Latin American music, with playing of huge collections of songs by famous artists, from classic to contemporary.
- Peru Art & Craft exhibition (vi) Celebration of important festivals of Peru.
- eruvian Films in Delhi University & Jawaharlal nehru University …& many more activities.
